Daisy
I’m baaaack!
I actually finished this lovely Bride-with-an-attitude last year but didn’t get the put the final touches on her until now. I just listed her in my Etsy doll shop today. Inspired initially by the flower, I tried to make her hair look sort of like daisy petals. Inspiration after that came from the song:
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
I’m half crazy, all for the love of you.
It won’t be a stylish marriage.
I can’t afford a carriage.
But you’ll look sweet on the seat
of a bicycle built for two.
I don’t think she’s too happy about riding a bicycle. Probably because she doesn’t appear to have any legs. Air-dry clay, vintage wooden bobbin, wooden base with clay, vintage lace over wire for the arms and acrylic paint.
And, happily, I’m in the middle of working on another doll and have a Steampunk sketchbook/journal and a notebook in the works!
