Crabula

She was enticed by his stunning good looks and old-world charm. It wasn't until she was left alone for a few moments in the Red Parlor that her false sense of security began to fade. "Why the RED Parlor," she wondered, irritated. The color clashed horribly with her shell. The beautiful hand mirror with the ruby on back almost as big as her claw was curiously cracked. She checked her look anyway to make sure her makeup wasn't running (waterproof makeup was a MUST in the ocean), ignoring the feeling of dread beginning to crawl up the back of her carapace.

Hearing a noise behind her, she checked the mirror but saw no one. Looking back, she was horrified to find the Count standing direclty behind her--he had no relfection in the mirror! She dropped the offending looking glass as Count Crabula took her in his arms and leaned toward her neck...

Obviously this is after the bite. Crabula has blood on his teeth, a drop on his claw and a smear on his mouth(?). In one of the pictures you can see the bite marks on the victim's "neck." And those eyes--blood red, ringed with black (why do the undead always have red eyes?). This is a miniature hand sculpted scene. The base is a 2"x2" ceramic tile that's been handpainted in red with gold trim and then varnished. The crabs are made from polymer clay (including the eyes, teeth and cape with acrylic paint to antique and highlight. The mirror is made from tiny beads, spacers, and a ruby red crystal. There's a signature/initial stamp on bottom with the year.
