Photext: History in the Making
Four ancient designs highlight the covers of this book.
Mayan glyphs and Mesoamerican designs top the front cover with a Japanese greenman surrounded by freshwater pearls underneath. |
The back cover has Celtic designs on top with Egyptian and Phoenician underneath. |
I used random Mayan glyphs for this piece. Book measures 4" x 5"
The pages are various acid-free decorative papers chosen to enhance the ancient theme. The bamboo skewers were painted with gold Artist's Acrylics and waxed linen was threaded through ending in a braided design with freshwater pearls woven in the braid. |
